Marriage Intimacy
Whether couples consider marriage intimacy is all about sex or whether they have a more romantic view it doesn't matter. Whatever your belief, it's the strengthening and maintenance of a strong relationship that is the most important issue.
Changes in Intimacy
In the initial stages of marriage, intimacy and passion are inseparable. However as the marriage matures other things such as job pressures, children and their various issues, health and money problems and excessive drinking all affect romance and marital intimacy in a negative way. What are the Major Causes?
There are many matters that have the potential to impact on a healthy and loving relationship. In our experience, and in no particular order, the five most important are:
1. Excessive
debt.
2. Disputes between couples over child
discipline.
3. Employment related.
4. Communication problems
between the couple.
5. Sexual incompatability.
Restoring Passion
Often the reason for the loss of romance in a marriage is because couples don't take the time to communicate and discuss the areas of concern with their partner.
When couples are prepared to work together to sort out troublesome areas in their relationship then they are on a restorative path. Sometimes it is wise to employ the assistance of a professional to help adjudicate over the more serious relationship problems that a married couple are endeavoring to resolve.
Time and time again we have observed romance and passion return to a marriage, sometimes after many years of ups and downs, simply because a couple decided to work together to sort out their relationship.
Romance can easily be resurrected. Try doing simple things for your spouse such as leaving little notes for them expressing your love, going out for a romantic meal together (or having a candle lit meal at home - just the two of you) buying the occasional bunch of flowers or chocolates for them and sharing household chores.

Those three little words are so important. Don't forget to tell your spouse frequently that you love them, hold their hand when the occasion is right, kiss them on parting and always remember to compliment them when they have made a special effort to look attractive.
